Backyard Party Ideas for Memorial Day

Not only does Memorial Day fall in May, but May is also National BBQ Month. It makes sense, because this is the perfect weather for a cookout! In celebration, here are a few ways to use your backyard for Memorial Day entertaining:

• The Classic Cookout – This one is a classic! To throw a good cookout, you’ll need an outdoor dining area and place for a grill. To kick your cookout up a notch, consider adding an outdoor kitchen or larger dining area to your deck or patio.
• Hotdog Roast, S’mores, and Campfire Stories – To make the most of your fire, consider an outdoor fireplace or a fire pit with built-in seating.  An outdoor sofa or adirondack chairs are also a great option for sitting around the fire.
• Throw a Pool Party – Having a pool is wonderful, but to get the most out of it, you’ll also need a place to sit, lounge, and eat. A sundeck or shady cabana is a great addition to a pool. You could even connect your pool deck to your outdoor dining, kitchen, or lounge.
